ekShop will support and enhance skills to entrepreneurs: Jami
A day-long 'ekShop Rangamati Entrepreneurship Conference 2022' was held in Rangamati today on Wednesday with the entrepreneurs of the Rangamati Postal Department. The theme of this year's conference was to increase the skills and knowledge of entrepreneurs on digital commerce. About 40 digital postal center entrepreneurs from Rangamati, Chittagong, Khagrachari districts participated in the event. Entrepreneurs were introduced to the latest trends in the digital commerce era and an informative discussion was held on the recently launched DMS software of the Department of Posts.
Postmaster General of Chittagong Postal Circle Dr. Md. Jamal Pasha, Deputy Postmaster General of Rangamati Postal Division Tayeb Ali, Head of E-Commerce of a2i Program Rezwanul Haque Jami was present at the event.
The chief guest of the program Dr. Md. Jamal Pasha in his informative presentation presented the details of postal department's ‘letter issue and delivery’ in the form of analysis in front of all present. He said "postal department should be popularized by the public through dissemination of information about the services of postal department, through which the scope of services of postal department and entrepreneurs will increase."
Mr. Rezwanul Haque Jami said “ekShop will train the entrepreneurs of the postal department to acquire all the skills of the current digital age and engage these young entrepreneurs in various income-enhancing activities. We are also leveraging the necessary innovations to enable entrepreneurs to deliver cutting edge services. Currently ekShop is operating in 11 countries and accepting and delivering online orders from Bangladesh to those countries.”
In the event, ekShop's new initiative ‘Shop to Online’ was inaugurated through which all locally produced products can be ordered at ekShop. This product will be attached through the local post office operators. The guests present at the event agreed that adding local products to the ekShop and selling them will create an opportunity to increase their income.
